Mr Bidwai is a Specialist Consultant in Shoulder and Elbow surgery working at The Park and Lincoln Private Hospital.

He completed advanced fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in South Tees, Liverpool and the world-famous Wrightington Upper Limb Unit. 

He was awarded the prestigious travelling fellowship by the British Orthopaedic Association and the International Bone Research Association to obtain additional training in upper limb surgery plus shoulder / elbow surgery at centres of excellence such as the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, University of Hannover and the Mayo clinic (USA).

Amit also maintains a strong interest in education and research. He peer-reviews journal articles for the Bone and Joint Journal and Shoulder and Elbow.

Consultations are held in clean and comfortable surroundings in private hospitals at the following times:

  • 18:30-20:30   Tuesday - The Park Hospital
  • 16:00-20:30  Alternative Thursdays - Lincoln Private Hospital
  • 08:00-09:00  Alternative Wednesdays - Lincoln Private Hospital

Clinical Interests

Mr Bidwai provides a comprehensive service for patients with traumatic and degenerative shoulder and elbow problems. Shoulder problems treated include rotator cuff tears, impingement syndrome, calcific tendinitis, ACJ injuries, frozen shoulder, shoulder instability and shoulder arthritis. Most surgical procedures are done using arthroscopic or keyhole surgery.

In the elbow Mr Bidwai treats arthritic conditions, post-injury cases and tendinopathies such as tennis elbow.
