Personal Profile

Dermatology in India. She did her specialist training in Dermatology in the UK in the West Midlands and has worked in university and large teaching hospitals. She is a Consultant in Dermatology since 2010 in City and Sandwell hospitals in Birmingham and has more than 20 years of experience in the speciality. 

She provides care in all aspects of Dermatological problems including General and Medical dermatology, Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Rosacea, diagnosis and management of benign lesions, skin cancer and pre-cancer diagnosis and treatment, mole checks, hair disorders, vasculitis, connective tissue diseases, blistering conditions, Hidradenitis suppurativa, pigmentary skin disorders and vulval skin problems. She has a specialist interest in skin cancer, medical dermatology and vulval diseases and has a specialist vulval clinic in City hospital. She is a core member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team and biologic and clinicopathologic multidisciplinary teams. She is also part of one of the three national Behcet’s centres of excellence in the UK, based in City hospital. She has a postgraduate certification in medical education and is undergraduate and postgraduate training lead for Dermatology in City hospital and the speciality training committee representative.  She is part of research and quality improvement teams and areas of research include vitiligo, phototherapy and psoriasis.

Publications include topics in vitiligo, phototherapy and skin of colour. She aims to provide accessible and holistic care for her patients with skin disease and in applying evidence based approaches to treatment and management.

  • General Dermatology including rashes, psoriasis, eczema, lichen planus, acne, rosacea, hair disorders, pigmentation disorders, blistering conditions.
  • Medical dermatology including Hidradenitis suppurativa, vasculitis, lupus erythematosus, granulomatous skin disorders
  • Skin cancer, pre-cancer and benign lesions, diagnosis and treatment
  • Mole checks and mole removal
  • Skin surgery including skin biopsies, excision and treatment of skin lesions
  • Vulval dermatology including lichen simplex, lichen planus and lichen sclerosis
