Mr Alex Kocheta qualified in Medicine from King’s College, London in 1993. He then gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1997 and his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2003. He completed a University of Cardiff Masters degree in Orthopaedic Engineering in 2003, achieving a distinction.
Mr Kocheta undertook Specialist Registrar training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry and its associated hospitals. As a Senior Trainee, he completed specialist Fellowships in Hand and Wrist Surgery, firstly at the renowned “Pulvertaft Hand Centre” in Derby, and subsequently at Wrightington Orthopaedic Hospital. He was appointed as a substantive Consultant Orthopaedic and Hand Surgeon in 2005 at The Rotherham Foundation NHS Trust. Since his appointment, his key aim has been to work with colleagues to further improve and widen the scope of upper limb surgery, as well as improve outcomes and patient experience.

Mr Kocheta's prime aim is to provide his patients with a timely, personally-tailored service underpinned by the latest evidence-based medicine. To achieve this, he practices a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach utilising a number of advanced and innovative treatment techniques.
