About Mr Alan Patrick Doherty

Personal Profile

Mr Alan Doherty completed his undergraduate training at The Middlesex Hospital before undergoing his surgical training at the Royal Marsden and Charing Cross Hospitals in London. Mr Doherty also studied at The Institute of Urology before taking up his position as a consultant urologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, the largest urological cancer centre in the West Midlands, in 2001.

He is one of the most experienced surgeons in prostatectomy within the UK, having undertaken a total of more than 1,200 procedures.
