Mr Sivaraman is a consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon at The London Independent Hospital. During his training, he travelled extensively, working as a visiting spinal fellow in Germany, the United States, and India. He completed his early training at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex.

During this period, he trained under both orthopaedic and neurosurgical spinal surgeons. He has published extensively and presented papers on spinal surgery at various international conferences, and he has authored a major medical textbook.

Mr Sivaraman successfully completed his higher surgical training in the prestigious London Hospital and Percival Pott training programmes. In 2006, he was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon at The Royal London and St Bartholomew's hospitals, part of their internationally renowned trauma units.

Special interests and expertise

 Mr Sivaraman’s special interests include neck, thoracic, and lower back pain. He is involved in the rapidly growing field of minimal access surgery for disc-related pathologies. In addition to surgical treatments for back and neck problems, he performs spinal injections, including radiofrequency rhizotomies. His expertise also covers spinal stenosis, deformity, and trauma, as well as comprehensive treatment for neck-related problems, rehabilitation, and whiplash injuries. Other procedures he performs include cervical disc replacement, vertebral augmentation for osteoporosis, and the treatment of spinal infections, including tuberculosis.
