He graduated in 1993 and was awarded Membership of the Royal College in 1997, and appointed as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London in 2011.
He received his specialised training in Gastroenterology in the London SW rotation. During this time, he spent three years at St Marks Hospital, Harrow which is a tertiary referral centre for all aspects of gastroenterological disorders. He gained considerable experience in the management of patients with complex inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, functional bowel disorders and patients requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition. He was also the Clinical Tutor for the undergraduate medical students from Imperial College, London. During his time at St Marks, he developed a keen interest in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, which culminated in the award of an MD by the University of London. He also trained for a year at the Liver Unit in Kings College London, where he gained knowledge and experience in managing patients with all aspects of liver disease.
Dr Shetty is delighted to be working with The Ridgeway Hospital, Wroughton. He is happy to see patients by prior appointment.
He is married with two daughters and enjoys living in a beautiful Wiltshire village.
