Mr Sweed is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust with adult and paediatric general workload and a subspecialist interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He is currently the clinical lead of the department, acts as the lead clinical and educational supervisor of ENT trainees, and supervises Buckingham University medical students at Leighton Hospital.
He is registered with the GMC and is on the specialist register for Otolaryngology.
He is a fellowship trained surgeon, having completed two head and neck fellowships. The first at St George's Hospital NHS Trust in London in 2008 and the second at Aintree University Hospital NHS Trust in 2015.
He finished his training programme in Egypt at Ain Shams University Hospitals and he continues to be academically linked to Ain Shams University being an honorary associate professor in the otolaryngology department.
