Dr El-Modir specialises in the treatment of cancer with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy. Dr Ahmed El-Modir completed his training in oncology in the West Midlands and was appointed as a Consultant Oncologist at University Hospital Birmingham in 2003.
Dr El-Modir gained his MRCP in 1997 before becoming a fellow of the royal college of radiologists (clinical oncology) in 2002 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2007. He completed his training in oncology in the West Midlands and was appointed as a consultant oncologist at the University Hospital Birmingham in 2003.

Dr El-Modir is the principle investigator for a number of national trials. He has a special interest in clinical audit and is a member of the Royal College of Radiologists clinical oncology audit sub-committee. He is an honorary senior lecturer with the Birmingham University and he is also a visiting oncologist to Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.
