Mr Adebanji Adeyoju is Consultant Urological Surgeon with a special interest and expertise in Endo-urology including Laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive surgery for urinary stones and benign prostatic enlargement.

He was appointed as Consultant Urological surgeon at Stepping Hill Hospital NHS Foundation trust in 2002 and also runs, with his colleagues, a service at Macclesfield General Hospital, Tameside Hospital and Buxton Cottage Hospital. He plays an active role locally, regionally and nationally in the teaching and training of both undergraduate medical students and post-graduate doctors and surgeons.

Clinical Interests


  • As a Urologist, his sub-specialist interests include medical treatment and minimally-invasive endoscopic surgery for prostate enlargement and urinary tract stones (both kidney and ureteric), and has pioneered laparoscopic surgery in the North-west of England for upper urinary tract indications e.g. laparoscopic nephrectomy (for benign and malignant disease), laparoscopic pyeloplasty (for pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction) and adrenalectomy (for benign and malignant disease).
