    Electrical stimulation (FES): Employing small electrical charges to stimulate muscles and aid in movement, enhancing recovery and muscle function.

  • Neuropsychologists collaborate with other medical professionals, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, to enhance cognitive function (reasoning and perception abilities).

  • Targeted exercises to significantly improve the patient's ability to speak and communicate. We use comprehensive assessments like the Comprehensive Aphasia Test (CAT) and the Mount Wilga high-level language test for formal evaluation.

  • Techniques and exercises to aid in swallowing, aiming to restore swallow function to the highest achievable level for each patient.

  • Occupational therapists work with individuals to regain independence in daily activities (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and feeding. They provide adaptive equipment and strategies to compensate for muscle weakness, facilitating participation in self-care tasks. Interventions also focus on energy conservation techniques to optimise functional independence and quality of life.
