A large part of making you feel comfortable is ensuring you know what to expect from your experience with us.

We share important information about what to expect from your Circle Health Group experience whether you stay overnight or just for the day.

Our multidisciplinary team of experienced Consultants, nurses, doctors, receptionists, physiotherapists, healthcare assistants and more are here to answer any questions you might have.

No question is unimportant.

We understand that your private healthcare experience is not just about your physical health, but also about your mental health. You might be feeling nervous about your visit and upcoming treatment. We are here to answer your questions, provide valuable insight and eliminate some of your nerves in a safe and comfortable environment.

Your road to recovery is all about which forms of treatment and aftercare work best for you. Our team of specialists will help build your bespoke treatment plan, including your medication, pain management, appointments and aftercare.

They will be with you to help manage your medical issue and treatment plan every step of the way.

Our hospitals offer a wide range of treatments and services that do not require an overnight stay. These include diagnostic tests and some operations and treatments. We share important information about your private healthcare experience as a day visitor, to ensure you know what to expect.

Before your operation

After you have confirmed that you wish to go ahead with an operation or treatment, you will receive a confirmation letter including key information about your day visit. For example, whether or not you need to fast beforehand (if you are undergoing surgery) or if you need to bring your current medication should bring any scans or test results with you. Please bring this confirmation letter with you on the day.

After your private consultation, you will receive a confirmation letter including key information about your day visit. For example, whether or not you need to fast beforehand (if you are undergoing surgery) or if you should bring any scans or test results with you. Please bring this confirmation letter to your day visit.

The nature of your day visit depends on whether you are undergoing diagnostic testing, minor surgery, or a different procedure altogether.

If you are undergoing a procedure or treatment on the day, our team will ensure that you can recover in a safe and comfortable environment. Your Consultant and nurses will monitor you closely and decide when you are ready to leave.

After you've arrived home

No private healthcare journey is the same as the next, so your next steps depend on your specific needs.

Your specialist team will advise you about next steps to take after your appointment, including follow-up appointments and aftercare.

If you undergo a minor procedure, we advise that you plan for someone to pick you up from our hospital and take you home.

We are happy to arrange a taxi for you if needed.

If you have any queries about what to expect from your day visit, please contact our NEC (National Enquiry Centre). You can call NEC on: 0808 101 0337 or make an enquiry online

Your pre-admission appointment

If you are booked in for surgery, we might ask you to attend an appointment before your surgery. This is a pre-admission assessment to perform any necessary tests before your procedure and to monitor your overall health.

If you have any questions, concerns or requirements at this stage, please raise them with your nurse during your pre-admission appointment.

Any dietary requirements you share will be passed on to our experienced catering team prior to your admission.

Don’t forget

Don’t forget to bring the following items to your pre-admission appointment:

  • Your pre-admission letter, which will usually be delivered to you following your initial Consultation.
  • Any current medication you are taking (including herbal medicines) in their original boxes, packets, or containers. A copy of your prescription issued by your GP or pharmacist would also be beneficial.
  • Your credit or debit card (no payment will be taken without your authorisation).

At your pre-admission appointment, your nurse will explain your procedure in depth to ensure you understand it. They will also discuss any specific requirements you might have when returning home, so that you can prepare for life after surgery.

Before your visit, our hospital will send you a pre-admission pack containing all the information you need regarding your stay and treatment plan.
