Hampshire Clinic is a highly recommended private hospital located in Basingstoke, Hampshire. We see patients from nearby areas such as Hartley Wintney, Oakley, North Waltham, Reading, Andover, Odiham, Alton, and Newbury as well as further afield. There is an advanced imaging department with the latest imaging technology, enabling accurate and comprehensive diagnostics, four state-of-the-art operating theatres, a minor ops department, 20 comfortable and private consulting rooms providing for you to meet with your specialists, a comprehensive physiotherapy department supporting patients on their journey to recovery and rehabilitation, and an in-house pharmacy ensuring prompt access to necessary medications and pharmaceutical services. Every inpatient room at Hampshire Clinic is equipped with an ensuite bathroom for our patient's comfort and privacy.

At Hampshire Clinic we are dedicated to providing an exceptional healthcare experience to all outpatients and we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standard of patient care.

The hospital provides the reassurance of level 3 Intensive Care and Level 2 High Dependency Care facilities at a level above most private hospitals, should they be required. A resident medical officer (RMO) is available 24 hours a day to ensure that the hospital provides an ideal environment for patients to be safe and cared for at all times.

Should your care needs change following surgery or treatment, we may need to transfer you to another hospital. This will either be to an NHS or another Circle hospital. Transfers of care only take place when absolutely necessary.

Due to ongoing building/site works, the Basing Road (leading up the Hospital Entrance) is extremely busy with lorries and other plant traffic.  Whilst every effort has been made to accommodate hospital traffic, please take extra care when travelling down the road.  We continue to work with the Building Contractors to make this passage as safe as possible

  • Exit at Junction 6 from the M3 motorway and Junction 11 off the M4 motorway.
  • Travel on the A339 Ringway North to Reading Road (A33) roundabout and exit via Faraday Road and Swing Swang Lane towards Old Basing and Basing House.
  • Proceed under the bridge to the end of Swing Swang Lane. At the mini roundabout turn sharp right onto Basing Road. 
  • After approx 300 yards, turn right into The Hampshire Clinic.

  • You will need to call the hospital you have booked your appointment with. To do this, you can find the phone number to your hospital on your appointment letter. 

  • Please call the hospital where the patient is admitted, press zero for switchboard, and they will transfer your call to the patient’s room, or put you in touch with a nurse or a ward.
  • Yes, our hospitals have free WiFi access for our patients and visitors. 
  • Once your appointment is booked, you can request to receive a confirmation email or letter with all the necessary information. To find the confirmation email, please search your email inbox for any message from [email protected].

    You will also receive a text reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment with all the details you need. Please note that this will not be sent if the appointment is booked within 48 hours of the appointment date.

      At The Hampshire Clinic we have access to modern equipment and private facilities for patients in Basingstoke, Hampshire and Newbury. We admit patients for a wide range of medical and surgical procedures.

      The hospital has four operating theatres and an outpatient theatre. In addition to the inpatient facilities, there is a comprehensive outpatient department including x-ray, and a physiotherapy department.

      These facilities combined with the latest in technology and on-site support services, enable our consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery.

      These specialist teams together with our Resident Medical Officers who are on duty 24 hours a day, provide care within a friendly and comfortable and clean environment.
