About us
Over 140 consultants practice privately from the hospital and are supported by a caring and professional multidisciplinary medical staff including 24-hour Resident Medical Officers. Our consultants undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations through to complex surgery across a variety of specialties, all within a friendly, safe and comfortable environment. All our patient bedrooms are private, offering en-suite facilities, TV and Wi-Fi. We have two operating theatres, a comprehensive diagnostic imaging department offering both x-ray and ultrasound, and within our Eye Care Scotland ophthalmic complex, an ophthalmic diagnostic room with OCT, slit lamp, biometry and pentacam.
More so, four consulting rooms, a minor procedure room, a full physiotherapy suite (including a sports injury clinic), and endoscopy facilities ensure we offer our patients a comprehensive service from diagnosis through to treatment and aftercare.
Appointments for most specialties are available within 48 hours and are arranged at a time to suit you, whether that be during the day or in the evening. We see patients on both an insured and self-pay basis, those with private medical insurance should check their policy details with their provider prior to attending any appointments.
You can self-refer for a majority of our services without the need for a referral from your GP. From the moment you contact the hospital, our staff are here to help. We provide information and reassurance about your diagnosis and treatment and whether you are attending as an outpatient or being admitted for surgery, our staff and processes are designed to help put you at ease.
We also have a resident medical officer (RMO) who is available 24 hours a day to ensure that patients are safe and care for at all times. Should your care needs change following surgery or treatment, we may need to transfer you to another hospital. This will either be to an NHS or another Circle hospital. Transfers of care only take place when absolutely necessary.
