Mr Andreas Demetriades
Consultant Neuro and Spinal Surgeon
Mr Demetriades deals with patients with brain and spine problems. These include brain tumours, haemorrhage, hydrocephalus, chiari malformations and facial pain (trigeminal neuralgia). A special interest of his is the spine and he has received specialised training in both simple and complex spinal procedures as well as minimally invasive spine surgery.

Mr Arpit Jariwala
Consultant Orthopaedic Upper Limb Surgeon
Mr Jariwala has been a consultant in NHS Tayside since November 2013. His elective practice is purely upper limb dealing with shoulder, elbow and wrist disorders focusing mainly on arthroscopic procedures. Over the last four and a half years he has introduced one-stop upper limb shoulder clinics, established upper limb disorder management guidelines and pathways and also collaborated with physiotherapists to restructure the rehabilitation protocols for upper limb services.
Mr Manhal Nassif
Consultant Orthopaedic Lower Limb Surgeon
Mr Nassif is a Consultant NHS Tayside and has over 20 years’ experience and is a Senior Teacher at the University of Dundee. He has clinical interests in hip and knee replacement surgery (primary and complex revision), management of infected joint replacement surgery, foot and ankle surgery and trauma surgery. He also runs a medico legal service.
Mr Robert Clayton
Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon
Mr Clayton qualified in 2000 and based himself from Edinburgh for his basic and higher specialist surgical training. He undertook a specialist training fellowship in complex surgery of the Foot & Ankle in Glasgow in 2009. He performs the full range of foot & ankle surgery including ankle replacements, hindfoot deformity surgery, ligament reconstructions and arthroscopic ankle surgery using modern techniques. He carries out forefoot deformity correction using techniques such as the scarf osteotomy for bunion surgery and performs ankle stabilisation surgery for painful instability.

Mr Alastair Lowrie
Consultant Plastic Surgeon
Mr Lowrie is a fully accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery. He specialises in Cosmetic Surgery of the face, eyelids, nose, breast, abdomen, arms and legs. He performs a full range of operations and non-surgical treatments. He also has an interest in Hand surgery.
Urology
Professor Ghulam Nabi
Consultant Urologist
Professor Nabi qualified in 1993 and is a Professor of Urology and Head of Division for Imaging Science and Technology at the University of Dundee. His main clinical interests are in general urology, prostate disease and urological cancers and he is the Lead for laparoscopic and prostate cancer surgery in NHS Tayside.
Mr Richard Chapman
Consultant Urologist
Mr Chapman is the Clinical Lead for Urology and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at St. Andrews University. His clinical interests are in all aspects of general urology with specific interest in kidney stones, vasectomy/vasectomy reversal, lower urinary tract symptoms and infections including prostatitis.
