About us

Combining picturesque views of Bath's historic Georgian skyline, with the latest innovations in hospital facilities and services, patient's choosing to visit Bath Clinic can rest assured that their care is our priority.

The hospital offers treatment options for both routine and complex conditions, in addition to the latest in imaging, diagnostic and GP services, including next generation MRI and CT scanners.

At Bath Clinic, we know that the better your health, the better your quality of life and that's why we are continuously investing in our facilities and services to give you the best hospital experience possible.

Whether that’s enhancing our status as a centre of Centre of Excellence in Joint Replacement with the latest robotic technology or leading the South West of England in the number of awards, accreditations and commendations we receive each year.

Combing what we have learnt from over 40 years caring for the city of Bath and surrounding area, makes us confident that our approach delivers the results that patients need and expect. That’s why we have been rated 'outstanding' for the way we approach caring by the Care Quality Commission.

Our specialist consultants and expert staff are here to guide you through your treatment, from consultation to convalescence, giving you the peace of mind and the confidence to make informed decisions about your health.

We also have a resident medical officer (RMO) who is available 24 hours a day to ensure that patients are safe and care for at all times. Should your care needs change following surgery or treatment, we may need to transfer you to another hospital. This will either be to an NHS or another Circle hospital. Transfers of care only take place when absolutely necessary.

I had a fantastic experience staying at the Bath Clinic. From the minute I was greeted on the ward to the moment I was discharged I was extremely well cared for. All members of staff from the waitresses to the aneaehnatist/surgeon were all very friendly, kind, reassuring and professional. The most difficult thing I had to think about was what food to order! I have been singing your praises to all my friends and family. Thank you to all the staff at the Bath Clinic who looked after me.

I received excellent care from the doctor and anaesthetist and the level of nursing care is superior. My room was comfortable and administration efficient. I was served a five star lunch that put the cherry on the top of a great hospital experience.

I recently had my gall bladder removed by Sarah Richards and her team. Every aspect of the whole procedure was covered efficiently, with care at every juncture. I would like you to pass on my gratitude to all the team, I have had no need for any of the provided pain killers, and am behaving as normal a couple of days after the op. Its astounding all my family. An example of the care in a tiny detail: Abigail my nurse for the day, when I pressed the attention button, I could hear her footsteps running down the passage to my room. Thank you to all involved.

I was lucky enough to have had a total hip replacement at Bath Clinic 7 weeks ago and I cannot imagine a better environment in which to have this operation. The care and encouragement , as well as a top class surgeon, made for a great life - enhancing experience. I am very grateful to all involved.
