Following the completion of his higher surgical training he visited leading centers in America, Australia and Japan as a Surgical Fellow. This enabled him to enhance his skills in managing complex upper GI and Bariatric patients.
Prof Senapati has presented extensively, both nationally and internationally, and he has published a number of significant papers in peer-reviewed journals. Currently he is an Honorary Professor of Surgery from University of Salford for his extensive research and commitments to education, training and teaching.
In addition to treating patients with obesity and its associated diseases, he has a keen interest in increasing awareness on the impact of obesity on health for both medical and allied professionals, as well to the general public. With this in mind he has spearheaded the creation of OASIS-GB, a voluntary organization to increase awareness and support for obesity. As Chairman of OASIS-GB he is working with colleagues, academics, regional health improvement organisations as well as national and international organisations to provide better care and support for people with obesity.
