Dr Sahrkaw Muhyaldeen

Dr SA Muhyaldeen is a consultant Cardiologist in EP and Devices at Manchester Heart Centre/ Manchester Royal Infirmary since 2008. Main areas of interest are Arrhythmia in ACHD patients, AF and complex and selective site pacing.

Graduated from Mosul Medical School and followed by General Medical training. Extensive training and experience in general cardiology and sub-speciality of EP and Devices started at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and followed by completing the West Midlands Cardiology SPR rotation including a research fellowship at Good Hope Hospital investigating the utility of CRT in patients with Heart Failure.

• Electrophysiology and Device Therapy, including non invasive and invasive managements of all cardiac arrhythmias
• Extensive experience in catheter ablation of all types of cardiac arrhythmias including: SVT, Atrial arrhythmias such as AF, Flutter, AT..etc and also all types Of Ventricular Arrhythmias such as Ischaemic and non Ischaemic VT
• Expert in implantation and follow up of brady pacing and tachycardia devices including Defibrillators
• Device treatment of Heart failure especially Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Pacemaker/defibrillators
• Management of cardiac blackouts
• Treatments of Arrhythmia in  Adult congenital heart disease patients.
