Dr Robin Fackrell qualified at Imperial College School of Medicine, London and undertook the majority of his postgraduate medical training in the South West before accepting a Consultant Physician post in the Department of Elderly Medicine at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol.
Dr Fackrell's main area of subspecialty interest is in Movement Disorders in all ages, particularly Parkinson’s disease and Restless Legs Syndrome and he frequently attends national and international conferences and advisory boards in this subject area which enable him to be at the forefront of thinking regarding treatment of these complex disorders. He also manages acutely unwell older adults on a daily basis and runs general medical outpatient clinics. Dr Fackrell has an MA in Healthcare Ethics and Law.
Dr Fackrell has recently taken over the private practice of Dr Nick John who has now set up life in Australia.
Dr Fackrell is always happy to assess patients in their own homes if needed.
