Mr Richard Brough

Rick Brough is a consultant urologist and clinical director of the urology department at Stepping Hill Hospital Stockport. His department also provide cover for Macclesfield and Tameside hospitals as well as providing tertiary cancer surgical care for Leighton hospital in Crewe.

He trained in Manchester and Sydney and has been a consultant in the NHS since 2000.

He has served as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons for 10 years and has been at the forefront of the development of robotic procedures in Greater Manchester

His specialist interest is in Prostate and Bladder cancer surgery which he performs with the Da Vinci robotic device. Alongside other members of his team his unit were the first to develop robotic cystectomy (bladder removal) in Greater Manchester as well as being the centre with the highest volume of prostate cancer operations (prostatectomy) over the past 2 years.

As a member of Manchester Urology he is part of the largest private urological group in greater Manchester which offers a comprehensive service covering all aspects of care ensuring patients are only treated by surgeons who are sub-specialised in that aspect of care.
