He is currently the clinical lead for urology services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. As a result of his specialist training in Australia, he has a broad expertise in general urological conditions and had developed the cancer services at his local hospital until they were incorporated into Guy's & St Thomas's Hospitals in 2007.
Mr Niekrash offers both a broad general and specialist urological spectrum of experience. His general urological practice involves the investigation and care of all conditions related to the kidney, bladder, prostate and male genitalia.
This involves both benign and malignant conditions, and conditions as diverse as kidney stones, prostatic enlargement & infections of the prostate to incontinence. Mr Niekrash has most notably been recognised as an advocate for patients rights, and has been outspoken on issues pertaining to patient safety and the quality of their care.
