Mr John Hollingdale qualified at the Westminster Medical School and completed his Orthopaedic Training on the North West London Training scheme. He worked as an NHS consultant at the Central Middlesex Hospital for30 years until 2017. Mr Hollingdale is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College where he has been actively involved in teaching and interviewing for Medical School for many years.

He is also a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and was a Council member for 3 years. Additionally, Mr Hollingdale was President of the International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty in 2010 and remains still actively involved with that society. He is also still involved in Teaching surgeons Modern surgical techniques including the use of the MAKO robot in knee and hip surgery. 

Mr Hollingdale is a keen user of this technology in his hip and knee surgery. He was recently made a visiting Professor at the Annan medical centre in Mauritius where he has been involved in teaching.

He is also interested in knee arthroscopy and sports injuries of the knee.

Lastly, in the past Mr Hollingdale was Orthopaedic Surgeon to both Arsenal Football club and London Irish Rugby Club.

  • Replacement surgery of the knee and hip
  • MAKO robot technique in knee and hip surgery
  • He is also developing rapid rehab protocols in this type of surgery and has recently managed to perform some knee replacements as day case procedures, this has been particularly useful during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
