Personal Profile

Dr Adiyodi qualified in 1993 and trained in India in internal Medicine leading to award of MD in Internal Medicine from Manipal University in 1997. He has a broad experience in General Internal Medicine and gained experience in Critical Care in India before moving to UK in 2004. He under took the haemato-oncology training at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital and completed the training in 2014. He was then appointed as Consultant Haematologist at the Royal Blackburn Hospital. He has an extensive knowledge in treating all types of Haemato-oncology conditions including myeloma, lymphoma and leukaemia.

He is experienced in the interpretation of bone marrow and blood counts as well as the treatment of bleeding and clotting disorders. Dr Adiyodi’s particular interests include the treatment of Myeloma, Myelodysplastic syndrome and thrombotic disorders including the use of new oral anticoagulants and perioperative management of patients on anticoagulation.

  • Myeloproliferative diseases: Polycythemia, Essential Thrombocythemia, Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia, Primary myelofibrosis Anaemia and abnormal blood counts Bleeding and Blood clotting disorders Anticoagulation

  • General haematological disorders, including Iron storage disorders,B12 and Folate deficiency and red cell disorders
