Mr Christopher Lee

Mr Christopher Lee is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a specialist interest in minimal access surgery, a The Sloane Hospital, Chelsfield Park Hospital and The Blackheath Hospital. His NHS hospital is Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, Kent (South London Healthcare).

Mr Lee trained and qualified at Imperial College London, where he also completed a BSc. He subsequently undertook five years of his specialist training at King’s College Hospital, including a two year research Fellowship in gynaecological ultrasound. He undertook a mini fellowship at the Gynaecology Centre for Endometriosis, Villach, Austria in 2007 in order to obtain more in depth training in advanced surgical techniques for the laparoscopic excision of endometriosis.

He has published widely, and regularly lectures on gynaecological diagnostic and surgical techniques, as well as training visiting surgeons from within the UK and abroad. He also helped to develop and set up an award winning communication skills programme at South London Healthcare NHS Trust in 2009.

Mr Lee is an International Trainer at the globally renowned European Surgical Institute. This work focuses on providing training to both aspiring and established minimal access surgeons in a broad spectrum of the most advanced laparoscopic techniques. He is also a regular invited faculty member at training courses and congresses throughout the UK, Europe and internationally.

Mr Lee has a specialist interest in advanced minimal access (keyhole) surgery for the treatment of endometriosis, fibroids, infertility and utero-vaginal prolapse. He also has the full remit of skills in general gynaecology, menstrual disorders and colposcopy. Mr Lee performs all his gynaecological procedures by a minimal access route, where possible. This includes removal of the uterus and cervix (total laparoscopic hysterectomy), ovaries and Fallopian tubes (laparoscopic salpingo-oophorectomy)
