Personal Profile
Dr Nikapota is responsible for the enrollment of patients into research studies evaluating new drugs in the treatment of cancer and the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques to improve outcomes and reduce treatment related side effects. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications. He is actively involved in the teaching, training and mentoring of undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
Dr Nikapota undertook a Clinical Fellowship at Princess Margaret Hospital (Toronto) where he gained invaluable experience in advanced radiotherapy techniques. Prior to this he completed his Oncology training with placements at University College London Hospital, Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and the Royal Free Hospital.
Dr Nikapota enjoys collaborative working at Goring Hall Hospital with the Urologists, making the patient journey seamless. Waiting times are normally no more than a week. Hormone injections can be administered onsite. All treatment plans are made with a decision making panel (MDT).
Outside work, Dr Nikapota enjoys spending time with his young family. He is a keen classical musician, both playing and listening to orchestral and chamber music
